Five Things You Should Do with your kids during Christmas

Christmas is a time of celebration. A time to spend with family and friends, and usually enjoying the merry spirit. This year, things are difficult as a result of social distancing separating individuals from cherished ones.

This year, we all stood strong against the pandemic and helped each other to overcome a global issue. While the spirit of this festival is in spreading joy by lighting up our houses with Christmas Decorations and getting presents for kids, on this 25th, let us all teach our children about such important values while remembering the true meaning behind the merry festival of Christmas.

Here are a few things one must do with kids this year on Christmas day :-

1. Providing Services to People :- Take out some time to help and support needy people of your area with your child. It could be donating unused things to charity or even creating something for your neighbors. You may volunteer at a neighborhood shelter or charity, or present sandwiches to the homeless. Giving your child the chance to serve others is one in all the most effective gifts you may ever give. This way children can learn to value things and feel happy!
2. Making Gift Cards for Family Members :- Creating something with pen and paper helps individuals to search for creativity inside them. Just provide them with the resources and  let them get into their inventive zone as they put down their own ideas on the card. This joy of creating and sharing positive emotions with others is something that kids will really cherish and it will add to their values.
3. Bird feeding :- Being with nature gives one immense happiness and satisfaction. Nature teaches us many things and kids should be encouraged to stay in nature more often. This Christmas, consider giving a bit to our feathered friends outdoors. Look out for them, as a lot of  fascinating migratory birds come to this region in winters, and after flying for so long, they may in all probability use a bit of facilitation. Strive creating a pine-cone lined in paste and bird food or craft a feeder.
4. Playing Treasure Hunt Together :- Organise a Treasure Hunt game for the children wherever there is space; the garden or the party venue may have a hidden Christmas ornament. Once the kids find all the ornaments, they can decorate their Christmas Tree. This will help kids to engage and have fun. It will even improve their problem solving skills.
5. Plan to bake together :- Plan to bake christmas sweets together with your kids. You can do the baking part and let the young ones decorate it with Frosting, chocolate and candies. It will be very fun and gratifying for them. Once the cooking is done, allow your kids to share it with others to give them the joy of sharing as well.
