5 STORIES TO TELL YOUR KIDS

Choose stories and non-technical objects for your kids over any modern gadget.

A childhood decorated with stories and lots of talks is best in its own way. Narrating stories help the kids dream, enhances their imagination skills and hence carries deep rooted impact on those tender brains!

I somehow believe what we do and learn in childhood is foundation of what type of person we become in future. Inculcating habit of reading or narrating bed time stories can work wonders for your little ones.

MY TOP PICKS

Some old classics indeed yet evergreen and impactful you see-

• Cinderella– yes! It’s not just a fancy fairy tale but I believe gave me my very first imagination of how beautiful things can happen. This story made an impact that no matter what good things happen to those with pure heart.
• The Thirsty crow– Short and sweet. The crow was thirsty and found out how to quench it’s thirst… taa da!!
• Crocodile and the monkey– This story actually tells how to be careful while choosing on people/friends and also act smart when you know wrong choice has been made. The tactics of monkey, when I think now, is actually worth learning.
• The goose that laid golden eggs– um this one is mandatory moral story for your kid to tell him/her that greed will leave you empty handed no matter what! Be content with what you have else you won’t have anything if you crazy greedy.
• Turtle and Rabbit–This is one of the story which is very important for building up character for your children. It teaches you that everyone has their own traits and that is great. The moral of the story is “The Slow and steady wins the race”.

These are some of my picks which I still hold in my head and I believe all of them do make a lot of sense.
